I first heard Roy sat in my grandmother's living room. She had a stereo. I was about 6. It would have been about 1961 or 62. She had a collection of Roy's music. Her youngest son, Peter, was also an ardent fan. My father too. I am now 54 and still have my Roy moments. My father has passed away and at his funeral I had Blue Bayou played. Very special memories. Roy will always be in my heart.
I was a short time ago on a James Burton concert here in The Netherlands in Leeuwarden.
James Burton was the guitar player next to Elvis Presley and John Denver. He did one
show together with Roy, as we all know as the A black and white night show.
He did this together with Dutch popgroup mufkin tass www.mufkintass.com and he played Crying and Oh pretty woman and the singer of Mufkin Tass did the singing part off course.
I'm not sure but is there a Roy Orbison revival on the way, because Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen sings...
