Answering posts - what is the trick?

Hi,

Have tried several times to answer posts under different topics, but my answers don't show. What is the trick that i don't know??

Replies for this Forum Topic

well, sometimes your post might show over to the right of this page

under latest activity

In dreams, whenever you go to answer, go to "add new reply", which is at the top, then your post will show up. I don't know why it doesn't show up, when you hit "add new comment", a mystery. so anyway, that's what you need to do.

YEH Turkey is right add new reply is under the first post at the top of the page It baffled a lot of us when this new forum first opened We didnt know what to do either ...........Good luck with your posts now In Dreams.............My favorite ROY song
Sorry forgot to say after you have written your post scroll down the page and press the save box

Thanks,
So now I can talk to you!! I chose "add new comment" and nothing happened. Wonder what that button is for?
Chicco, In Dreams is my favorite too, it's very much what Roy is all about, although there are so many other signature Roy songs.
Will talk to you more, but am getting ready to go to London tomorrow morning with my two youngest girls. One teenager, the other is getting there. Shopping is unavoidable I suppose. Hope to go see Thriller - Live, the Michael Jackson musical, a shared thing among girls and dad Smile

Hope you and your girls enjoy London I lived there for a few years but moved out when it started to go downhill I often go back to see family but i wouldn't go back to live Great for shopping but very expensive .........Have fun and watch your purses are safely out of sight

Hi Chicco,

Thanks for your good wishes. I'm just back from our eight-day stay in London. I hadn't been there for ages. I was there doing a course for my job some 8 years ago. But having time just doing what we liked was some time back in the 90s (when I was there with my two eldest), and the first time for my two young ones. We enjoyed it thoroughly, though the one with the shortest legs did tend to get tired. We settled for Phantom of the Opera in stead of the Michael Jackson show, and it was just great. Hunting for cds, I came across Roy's three original Monument in the remastered vesrion form 2006. But I think I will write about them in another post.

Pleased to hear you enjoyed London with your girls I saw Phantom years ago it is a great show
Did you take the girls on the London Eye ?

it's a tad tricky isn't it, and if you don't check back every day or post, you forget.

Chicco,

No the girls didn't bother to go on the London Eye, there were just too many people there. But we were there, and it's quite impressive. Also you can see it from many places in London as I noticed when I looked over the pictures I took there.

The girls are dancers, so our first stop was The Pineapple dance studio and the shop attached to it near Covent Garden. They also liked Covent Garden and the market around it, and of course we went to see the bustle on Portobello Road market on Saturday. And dad talked them into visiting Shakespeare's Globe theatre. There was a rehearsal for a play going on there and it was quite nice Smile

You certainly seem to have had a good time In Dreams What kind of dancing do the girls do tap,
ballet, street dance? My friend owns a dance wear shop sells everything from shoes to leotards and one off costumes for shows I help her with the sewing if she is really busy I have been a dressmaker all my working life Although im retired now i still love creating costumes now and then

Hi Chicco, I was away for a few days. What a nice coincidence, you being a dressmaker. My two youngest have taken classical ballet classes for five years. A year ago they got a new and younger dance instructor who fuses classical ballet with things from street dance and jazz ballet. They love all the things that come with it, the shows and dresses and of course being together. It's more than a passing thing for them and the eldest has been told that she has talent, though I guess time will show if they keep at it. Fortunately they have a lot of interests.
It's interesting to get to know a bit more about a person here. Outside the main thing, Roy's music, I guess that we don't get to know that much about each other. Though I know some of you get together on very special occasions - lucky you Smile I'm still in my working life, not yet retired but getting there in a few years' time. I teach German and English.
