Roy Orbison movie

Roy Orbison movie

I am a fan of the old classics from sun. And Ive noticed that Elvis, Jerry Lee, Johnny Cash, all have movies about there life, yet Orbison has never had a movie done about his life. And its not like hes a 1 hit wonder like Perkins to were there isnt enough to make one. Roy's story could really be appreciated. He was such a nice man, and yet so many bad things happened to him, yet he still prevailed. This story should be told.

I couldnt agree more with you Andre ROYS life would make a great film. Now who would you put in the starring role .?

I certainly agree that there should be a movie about Roy's life.

But think that is one of the problems, who is good enough to portrait Roy and who will be able to actually sing Roy's music as I doubt they want to go for lip syncing. A movie like that would impress even more if the actor actually sang the songs himself, like joaquin phoenix did in Walk The Line, The Johnny Cash Story.

But I'll settle for lip syncing..I would really love to see a movie about Roy's life.

I would love to see a movie about Roy. I know Roy had been talking about a movie, right before he died & said he would like Martin Sheen to play the lead, so what about Charlie Sheen playing Roy! Who knows, maybe one day!

Yes Mary Ann ROY did say Martin Sheen as the actor if they made a film of his life Personally i cant think of anyone i would cast It would have to be two actors i think to cover his life story and they would have to sync We all know NO ONE can sing like ROY ORBISON
Just had a thought Chris Issacs might pull it off and he is a fan of ROY

Yes, Chris Isaaks would be a good one. there was a tv show here in the states, called "American Dream", It was based in the 1960's. Chris played Roy in one of the episodes & sang "Pretty Woman". It was great!

Wish we could get these programme's in the U/K Turkey I would have loved to have seen that one with Chris Issac's I like his voice

If you go to amazon, you might could find the dvd of the show. It went off the air a few years ago. I think the episode with Chris Isaaks was the last season.
