I was lucky to see Roy perform as the opening act for the Eagles. It was at the Cow Palace in San Francisco and I believe the Eagles were touring to support their Hotel California album. I recall arriving a little late, but as I made my way down to the floor I was watching Roy instead of where I was going. I missed a couple of steps, but I didn't care. The interesting thing is that I had NO IDEA the Roy was going to play at this show. What a great surprise! I will always remember that show.
