The tour you are wondering about was between March 1, 1980 and March 14. The Eagles were in fact promoting Hotel California and unknown to most, they knew it was their final tour (at least before Hell Froze Over!). My husband and his brothers, along with percussionist Terry Elam, were Roy's band and I was with them on that tour. Just before the tour, my husband and Roy got together in LA to work on a song that Chris had written and shown to Roy earlier (during the Laminar Flow sessions) - "That Lovin' You Feelin' Again".
