On a Saturday afternoon we gathered in the Queens Theatre to attend this Roy Orbison concert. This one was especially and exclusively for club members.
Roy suffered from a soar throat but as we were informed he managed to do the show thanks to some pills a doctor prescribed him.
This was a very unique show. First of all it was my first Big O show ever and secondly the theatre was filled with club members only. Really a thrill to be there.
As it happened we sang a Happy Birthday to Roy's son who was there as well; it was his birthday.
It was a wonderful afternoon for all of us.

After the afternoon in the Queens Theatre for what was to be my first ever Roy Orbison concert, I now had the pleasure, on the same day, to attend a Big O show for the 'public'.
Caesars Palace was the place, in Luton, a club for approx. 300-400 people, so in fact very intimate.
It wasn't until midnight that Roy started his concert. But it was great, really great. The atmosphere in this place was terrific. I assume all present were aware of the great show that was brought before their eyes by the one and only Roy Orbison.
    It was an unforgettable day.
